Having the nuts means having made the best possible hand with the cards on the board. Also known as the nut hand.

Given the board above, you are said to be holding the nuts. You see, only a full house, a four-of-a-kind or a straight flush can beat your Ace-high flush and its not possible for anyone to be holding any of the hands I just mentioned. First of all, a straight flush is ruled out since the 6h and Th are too many ranks apart. Secondly, the full house and the four-of-a-kind are also not possible since there is no pair on the board, so even if someone is holding a pocket pair, his best hand is only a three-of-a-kind. That's why your Ace-high flush is the nut hand.
