Poker Basics
Poker is played with a single deck of 52 cards. Each player is dealt a certain number of hole cards and together with the community cards, try to form their best poker hands.
Depending on the variant being played, there will be one or more betting rounds before the showdown. All bets are placed into a common pot which goes to the winner of each hand. Betting limits also differ from game to game. During the showdown, players reveal their poker hands and the player with the highest ranking poker hand takes the pot.
Popular versions of the poker game include the Texas Hold'em and the Omaha Hold'em.
