Straight
A straight is a poker hand in which all 5 cards have ranks that are in sequential order and are of varying suits.

If all the cards are of the same suit, then the poker hand is actually a straight flush - a much higher ranking hand.
A straight ranks above a three-of-a-kind and below a flush.
Ranking straight hands
Competing straights are ranked by their high cards. The hand with the highest ranking high card wins.
